5 Euros per day/ and for the three day event, a charge of just 10 Euros.

A little information about us :
When we began the “Flying Away Art, Music & Dance Festival”, our motive was to bring local artists together, support them, promote them and help them form social bonds between themselves and people who would come and see our vision and theirs in one place, at one time.
This is our story; for those who don’t know us, and for those who have become one of us. It all started from an idea, where our vision became our mission, and that we did. We wanted each artist to feel like he belonged somewhere, to feel like he had his own identity, in a place where others were different, yet were all the same. The difference though was that we all have an artist hidden within, we just wanted to give these artists a place where they could show who they truly were.
This is how we started our first festival, which was an introduction to who Flying Away has become today. In 2009, on the 20th of December, we booked Club Red for a day, were over 700 people came to visit our 12 artists. The response from the people was unexpected in a positive manner, yet encouraging for a follow up later on. We saw that more artists wanted to get involved, and that people who didn’t visit, heard about it, and our feed back was they wanted more. We really didn’t expect the festival to gain popularity to such an extent, the way it did. This all surprised us, however it gave us motivation to build something better for these artists, and we came back 3 months later with the “Reload” festival (14.03.2010). After thorough research, brainstorming, meetings and discussions, we came to do the “Reload” festival in the caves of Akropoli Park, in Nicosia, where we formed the event to suit the styles and efforts of the 27 different artists and 8 DJ’s participating at the time. We transformed the simple caves into a setting that suited our different artists and 1100 visitors. After the “Reload” our feedback from the people was even better, even more positive, giving us once again, the strength we needed to fulfil these artists’ dreams and keep building for them. Additionally we saw that all people needed a new outlet, out of the ordinary and simple, the usual and the obtained. New artists and musicians wanted us to continue this dream. The “Reload” was our assurance, and our main base later on, to form the original, unique and only one of its kind, “Flying Away Art, Music and Dance Festival.”
Through the support of our local artists and visitors, our idea finally became the dream, and it all began from there on out. We finally took the leap in creating something great, we learned from our mistakes each time, but we never got discouraged. Some loved us and others doubted that we would never make it. Many tried to copy us, and they will keep trying, however what we have to say to all of them is this, “If you’re going to copy us, at least do it right.” We want good competition; it gives us a motive to work better, faster and bigger. We are the first of our kind, and through pictures, numbers, facts, and data, it all speaks for itself. We dreamt it; we accomplished it, because we believed in one thing, “When you dream, there are no rules, people can fly,” and above all we love what we do. Through these challenges and efforts, the real festival began. “The Firestarter,” (4/5.09.2010)
The Firestarter was the festival that was sparked by the love and support of our people and artists. Instead of a one day event, it became a festival for two days, where it held place at Orfeas Stadium in the heart of Nicosia. It was an event that was the answer to all that were seeking the artist within. Joining us were only local artists, people with passion and love for what they did, from bikers, to musicians, artists, DJ’s and so forth. The reason for such a success, was that Flying Away loves what they do, and above all, appreciate their artists and followers in each form. For the first time in Cyprus, a stadium was filled with 60 + artists, 20 hours of non stop music, and on those 2 days, even God was an artist.
The support and love we got from everyone, built us a foundation, where we reach this day, and we bring the upcoming and fourth festival, “I-LOV-IT,” that was named by all of YOU. The idea behind this festival is an appreciation from us now to all of YOU, who gave us this love. YOU loved it, which helped us love it more. For us artists and musicians aren’t put in any sort of category, basically we don’t put people in categories, we choose to believe people can be whatever they want to be, therefore this festival is all about you. Everyone can be involved in the arts. Within the previous festivals we came to see, and now can say, that what made us the happiest, was that not only young people were involved, but families became involved too, especially children. This is where we come to explain our location. Tivoli Luna Park. We were all children once upon a time, and some forgot those years, and became adults, and remained that way. They lost the child in them. I-LOV-IT is all about bringing the child in you again. Some of us have children and some will have a few one day, and this location is a reminder for us who grew up, and since this festival is about you, it’s an opportunity for your children to come as well. It’s a chance to remember, a chance to get close with your children. There’s a known saying that goes, “There’s no school, like old school,” and that’s what Tivoli is all about. The old school. The memories. The chance to be young again.
